Dr. Rivera teaches courses in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Economic Geography, Urban Geography, and Introductory Human Geography.

Julio is part of a group of faculty that bring students to rural Nicaragua to deliver medicine and tour the country.  More information regarding the trip and donations toward the trip can be found at http://carthage-ometepe.org
